it has begun...june 1st makes it official, my first hurricane season. i am creating a hurricane evacuation kit. besides making sure i have the basics (nonperishable foods, water, valuable papers, pictures) i am wondering what it will be like to ty to get gas when everyone else will be doing the same thing or leaving the apartment and hoping it is still there when we return.
we do have an advantage as to where we live because we are on one of the higher parts of the city, and also the second oldest community. which means it has lasted through a lot of stoms. our apt. is on the second floor, in case the leeves break our place should be ok...
